A review of some of the pubs I've been to here in England which have foxes in
the name. ;-)
"The Fox Inn" (Newbourne, Suffolk)
Small village pub, friendly atmosphere.
Full of fox stuff - paintings, statuettes, soft-toys. They even have
a fox doormat. The morbid downside is the couple of
fox tails and heads mounted around (foxes are much nicer alive).
Oh, they have some local accordian players in on Thursday evenings (!).
"The Flying Fox" (Colchester, Essex)
A real dive. Don't bother. Cool pub sign, though.
"The Fox Revived" (Norwood Hill... Outer London / Surrey?)
A fairly cool foxy pub. Their main foxy 'attraction' (again somewhat
morbid) is a stuffed fox sat at one of the tables in a waistcoat. An
interesting touch is 'foxes' and 'vixens' on the lavatory doors...
"The Fox" (Rivenhall - somewhere between Essex and Surrey. :-) )
Sort of an average pub, on a main road. A few foxy things, but
not much.
"The Fox & Hounds" (Malden Rushett, Outer London / Surrey)
Inside the pub, referred to simply as "The Fox", a better name. :-)
A few foxy things, not a great deal. Quite a nice pub nonetheless.
"The Fox" (Lower Kingswood, Outer London)
Medium-sized but cramped pub, lots of fox junk and a dense barman.
Sub-average but for the fox stuff.

One for the list. The Foxes Den is a British style pub located at
1075 Bay Street, Toronto. Ontario, Canada.
Thanks to J. Doran for assisting with research. :-)
Incidentally, if you like beer, give Old Speckled Hen a try. More
importantly, look out for Old Speckled Hen posters, they have an
excellent fox on them. 8^)
